I've been thinking a lot about "promises" lately... about how important it is to keep a promise made. God is a promise keeping God and He takes His promises seriously — thank God — His promises are yes and amen! The problem is, we live in a culture that doesn't reflect that.

Marriage isn't just the wedding, no matter how grand it is. Many young couples think they know but act like they don't. It's a commitment, but not just between the couple. It's also a commitment by the community surrounding the couple ie family, friends, church to support the couple in their marriage – not just their wedding!
So why the need for regular church attendance & cells groups? So that strong relationships can be built ie strong community ...

It was inspiring to say the least to have attended a talk by YB Hannah Yeoh at a special function organised by the young adults' of the Acts Church. The theme for the evening was "I love Malaysia" and that was exactly what Hannah encouraged all her hearers to do!
